Happy New Year!!
Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year! I hope you have been reading some good books!
I have read Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson. In this book, Tyler Miller, whose transformation from a meek, social Mr. Cellophane to a chiseled, admired "tough guy" sets his world on end. As someone who spends his days unnoticed, Tyler finds himself with more attention than he wanted after he vandalizes school property and, to pay for his crime, takes a summer job doing landscaping. The unforeseen side effect is that he returns the next school year turning heads, most notably the head of Bethany Milbury. But not everything --- even Bethany's advances --- works out well for Tyler. As he struggles to contend with his angry father, a mistrustful faculty and the aftermath of a party, Tyler comes to the painful realization that there's a substantial price tag for his newfound popularity, and he gets tired of juggling the consequences. Excellent Book!!

Next Book Club Meeting
I hope you enjoyed our February meeting! Thanks for all the comments posted on our blog today! The next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
Because of all the snow days and all the work that has to be made up, Team 7A, 7B and 8A decided to not choose a book, but to be prepared to talk about a book that they have read. Team 8B has chosen the book The Sisters Grimm as their book to read for the next meeting.
Please leave some good comments here soon!

How is your reading coming along? What have you read recently that you would like to recommend to others? What do you like about Book Club? What would you change? Is there anything else you would like to share about reading, books or Book Club?

Inkheart part two
I am about half way through Inkheart. Meggie is my favorite character. What do you think about Dustfinger? What exactly is a marten anyway?
