How about that Twilight Movie? Did you get to see it? I saw it on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with my daughter.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Please remember to bring your lunch to the Media Center on that day! Be ready to discuss books and to have some fun.

Our first meeting!

Many students enjoyed The Brown Bag Book Club today! We had 36 Seventh Graders and 10 Eighth Graders, including Mr. Hart! All staff members are welcome to join us as we eat and discuss books.

Team 7A will be reading Something Upstairs by Avi.
Team 7B will be reading one of several books: Belle Prater's Boy, Stormbreaker or A Long Way From Chicago.
Team 8A will be reading Half Moon Investigations.
Team 8B will be reading Sword For The Rightful King.

I hope you are planning to attend the Brown Bag Book Club this year. Be listening for the announcement! I will also post a written announcement on the Media Center Door.

Have you read any good books lately? Over the summer I read: Breaking Dawn and The City of Ember. I liked both of them very much.

Twilight and The City of Ember will be coming out as movies this fall/winter. Be watching for them!

Uglies Again!

I have finished Uglies and have started Pretties. I really liked Uglies!! I am liking Pretties too. Zane is an interesting character. It will be interesting to see how he interacts with Tally. Let me know how your summer is going and what you are reading.

Prince Caspian!

The movie Prince Caspian is out today! Anyone going to see it? Anyone want to see it? I finished the book last week and I am eager to see it. I hope it is as good as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie is.

I have just started the book Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. Have any of you read it? Do you like this series?

End of the year

I can't believe that it is the end of the year! Our May meeting will be on Wednesday, May 28th during your lunch time. Look for an end of the year treat at our meeting! Hope to see you there! As always, new members are welcome!
